Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I was pleased to see in a recent issue of the Gazette-Journal (Aug. 16, 2012) about the collection of memorabilia from Page Middle School. Certainly most appropriate.

However, let’s not forget that building was the first consolidated high school in Gloucester and there are many folks still living in the county who are graduates of that school. There are even some of us still here who taught there and well remember the opening in September 1953.

Perhaps "memories" of the first Gloucester High School could be added to those of Page.
