As we approach the anniversary of Helen’s stroke this week, we thought it would be a good time to thank everyone again for all the love and concern shown us this past year.

Mathews is a great place to live. There are many generous and caring people and groups active in our county providing help in many ways, and we have been the recipients. We know we could not have made it this far without all that support and outreach. We have been truly blessed and appreciate it more than you will ever know. Helen’s progress is limited and very slow, but progress is progress and we are grateful for the smallest measures of improvement.

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a good new year.
