Voting is a privilege we should all embrace. Next week, we can vote for candidates for the Mathews Board of Supervisors. Melissa Mason will get my vote.

I’ve worked alongside Melissa on the Mathews School Board for several years. She has the qualifications to take on the challenge of serving the citizens of Mathews as one of our supervisors. Her passion for our county and its citizens, young and old, is evident in all she does. Her creative, open-minded, and collaborative decision-making skills are refreshing. She’s always prepared for meetings with the best interest of our county in mind.

She can communicate her thoughts so that all are able to understand her intent, and she is able to compromise when necessary. Her learning curve for the duties of a supervisor will be minimal because of her work experiences and knowledge base.

Please join me on November 5 and vote for Melissa Mason.
