Letter: Mason for supervisor

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

As a former elementary school principal, I recently found a copy of the Family Circus cartoon dated April 4, 2008, which states: “Crayons can teach us a good lesson … they’re different colors, have strange names, but all learn to live together in the same box.” It was appropriate for me to use in 2008 and it seems appropriate to use in 2019.

Melissa Mason, candidate for the Mathews County Board of Supervisors, is our “box.” She has already proven her ability to bring people together, which she clearly demonstrated during her tenure on the Mathews County School Board. We need a “box” who is not only fully capable of understanding the intricacies of being a supervisor, but we desperately need a supervisor who can help the Mathews County Board of Supervisors work together. Vote for Melissa Mason on November 5th.
