Letter: Mark Warner for Senate

Although our economy is experiencing a very slow and tenuous improvement, many Virginians are still struggling, and Congress does not appear to care. Fortunately, Mark Warner, our senator, continues to pass legislation that will have a real impact for those seeking work.

For example, Senator Warner has continued to support and help pass measures that make it easier for companies to expand and hire workers. Two examples are the JOBS Act, which reduced unnecessary regulations on business fundraising, and the Startup Act, which ensured that immigrant entrepreneurs will be able to get visas and continue to create jobs in Virginia.

Just recently, Warner joined Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) in calling for an immediate fix to restore funding to highways. Should that fund not be replenished, 700,000 jobs across the country would be at risk.
