Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I am writing in response to recent letters to the editor in the Gazette-Journal implying there are issues with our elections in Gloucester County. I have served as a Republican Poll Watcher at the Courthouse Precinct for several years. I have personally observed all aspects of how our Election Officers conduct fair and honest elections. If an issue does arise, the Poll Chief handles the issue professionally and as prescribed by law.

Recently, two individuals have written letters to this newspaper and have spoken in public meetings insinuating something is amiss with our elections. I do not agree with their views and don’t believe anything they have said applies to Gloucester County.

I personally know folks who work at our precincts on Election Day—they are honest people and are all simply focused on making sure that our elections are fair, honest and follow the processes specified by law.
