Letter: Lingering Covid questions

From early in the onset of the Covid-19 virus theory, the many incongruities and irregularities should have been questionable. The early revelation that the virus was accidentally released from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, that was involved in the research for gain of function, and additionally, a virus that supposedly originated from bats.

Early fearmongering appeared to have elements intended to motivate the population through fear for their life. The bizarre reporting of the virus also took on an element of danger when it was derided as a conspiracy theory. The reference to something being a conspiracy theory usually heralds the reality of the issue.

When the lockdowns occurred the fear among people became palatable, with the bitter taste of fear in the closing of the schools, churches and businesses.
