Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Last month the Mathews County Little League board, through a letter published in the Gazette-Journal, petitioned the community for assistance with the MLL’s light loan. This letter yielded several donations which we immediately applied to the balance of the loan.

Our goal is to continue to provide a safe, family friendly facility to the children and parents of our community and donations such as the ones we received help us achieve that.

We sincerely thank those who contributed to our organization and look forward to further recognizing their contributions in the spring. As Thanksgiving approaches, we wish the community and our league families, a safe and happy holiday season!
