Letter: Lighting Main Street with generosity

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

The Garden Club of Gloucester and the Walter Reed Garden Clubs would like to thank all of the donors that made it possible to light Gloucester Main Street for Christmas. This is our second year to light the lamp posts and we were able to do 62 posts this year. Last year we did 42 posts. We hope all will come out to see the lights and to visit the shops on Main Street.

Thanks to: the Gloucester Sheriff’s Department and their trusties, Big Lots for the lights and totes, Smith’s Florist and Gift Shop for making the bows and ordering all the garlands, Main Street Preservation Trust and Jen Christman, director of the Gloucester Main Street Association, for allowing the use of their building for meetings and storage, Ordinary Storage for a storage space for all of our garlands, Martin, Ingles & Hensley, Tomlinson Exterminating Service, Inc., Direct Access Internal Medicine, Dental Technologies, Inc., Gloucester-Mathews Gazette-Journal, Vashti&rs...
