Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I am writing to the citizens of Mathews County to endorse the candidacies of Linda Hodges and Dr. Bambi Thompson for the Mathews County School Board. Both women are highly qualified and would be strong leaders for the school system.

As a retiring member of the school board for the last 12 years, I feel that I have a clear understanding of the qualifications necessary to successfully lead our administrators, teachers and students. These two candidates definitely have them.
