Letter: Kudos to MPPDC for good judgment

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

The Concerned Citizens of the Middle Peninsula would like to commend the commissioners of the Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission for choosing not to blindly vote to ratify motions that the commission has previously voted on.

Although no reason was given for the motion to do so, other than it was by advice of counsel, it must be noted that for the past three years, Mr. David Whitlow served in violation of residency rules as a commissioner and therefore illegally voted on matters that affect everyone in the Middle Peninsula. This calls into question the legality of all the business transacted during the time that Mr. Whitlow served on the commission.

Mr. Whitlow was replaced on the commission without comment as to the reason for the replacement.
