Editor, Gazette-Journal: I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Gloucester Parks and Recreation Department for a job well done in planning, coordinating, and hosting the Children’s Craft Festival on Saturday. This was such a wonderful event! This event gave the young entrepreneurs an excellent venue to experience business firsthand. Showcasing their many talents of making crafts, these young people were friendly, helpful and showed true customer service. From charcuterie boards and note cards, bracelets to crocheted items, 3D-printed items to artwork, and even a lemonade stand, the crafts were impressive. It was so nice seeing useful skills being taught, such as calculating total amounts owed, making change (without a calculator) and salesmanship. Kudos for a job well done.
