Letter: Keeping up with 9-11

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

This Sept. 11th marked the eleventh anniversary of one of the most somber days in American history. Like most of my fellow citizens, I reflected throughout the day on this sad event and all of the good people lost that day. I awoke to an absolutely crisp, clear, cool morning and realized how much this 9-11 began as a beautiful, sunny day just like 2001. I hugged my wife and kids extra hard in the morning before I left for work and told them with conviction that I really loved them. I took great pride when I drove up Main Street in the courthouse and saw the flag waving proudly from the Gloucester Volunteer Fire Department’s truck (Thank you, GVFD).

Imagine my surprise, then, when I got home that evening and read on Yahoo where the NBC Today show chose to air an interview with Kris Jenner on her new breast implants rather than observe the moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. Really? Kris Jenner attempted to portray the interview and the whole sordid series...
