I wanted to take this opportunity to remind the citizens of Gloucester County who care about our litter problem that next Saturday, Oct. 14, they are all encouraged to participate in Clean Gloucester Day, an event sponsored by the Gloucester Clean Community Committee.

This fall’s cleanup will be from 8 a.m. to noon. Supplies will be available next to the library at Main Street Center and at the parking lot adjacent to the Waste Management Convenience Center on Guinea Road in Hayes.

For those of you who have not participated in prior cleanups, I think you will be surprised to find that it can be both a pleasant and rewarding experience that increases our sense of community. We encourage all residents who feel as we do about litter and its impact on our county to assist us with trying to keep Gloucester beautiful.
