What an exciting week this has been for my grandson! As we left the building, Kids’ Kayak and Conservation Camp, on Monday afternoon, Dylan said, “It was awesome. It was the best ever birthday gift.” He has talked non-stop about all of his experiences. It is not often that he is so forthcoming with details about everything he has done. I’ve been so impressed by with what he has learned. It is much more than I expected.

I have several friends in the LIPPS group who are helping with the camp and I also read about it in the Gazette-Journal. It is everything they said and more. The camp is well organized, very safety conscious, varied in activities, and loads of fun. Everything camp should be.

I know it is an experience that will greatly benefit Dylan and certainly one he will never forget. I am looking forward to lots of kayaking with him and expect that he’ll teach me a thing or two!
