Editor, Gazette-Journal: As a lifelong resident of Gloucester Court House, I was very upset to learn about how four members of our board of supervisors treated Carol Steele by abruptly terminating 39 years as a career employee of Gloucester County. I have talked with other citizens of our county who are asking why was this hasty decision made behind closed doors against Carol Steele. It was disrespectful, unjustified, unaccountable and just plain wrong! Shame on the four supervisors who disregarded protocol, and how it would be a major county disruption of current operations. Gloucester does not need to be recognized for this kind of action. The four that voted for this outrageous action need to come forth and reveal their justification and exactly the reason why they took this action against Carol Steele.
