The following is an open letter to Mathews High School head football coach Paul White:

I don’t think anyone expected the season to end on Saturday the way it did, but the boys left the field with their heads held high. Thank you, and your team, for coaching them to a season of so many high achievements, and wonderful memories. It was a great year, and everyone associated with Mathews football has much to be proud of. Congratulations!
