What I am “thankful” for in the Year 2020. Trying not to take up space with what we as a community have battled over the past year. I will only say it has been a year!

When I look back at an entry I had written in my journal in October of 2019, I had stated that I felt “we were in a turmoil, that the planets were out of alignment and we were spinning out of control.” Looking back, I had no idea how out of control the world would become.

Now that November has arrived and we approach a day set aside each year as “Thanksgiving Day” I have realized this year more than any year before each and every day is a day of Thanksgiving if I can only stop long enough to count my blessings.

For the past nine months I have worked beside a group of Caregivers in a Long Term Care facility (nursing home). And over the course of those months I have witnessed so very many different emotions! Such an outpouring of love to residents who truly have become “our family.”
