We have always known that our Mathews volunteer firefighters are a dedicated, hardworking group of men and women. But on Friday, Nov. 11, we experienced this first hand. Because of their quick and skilled response, the brush fire at the back of our shop was quickly confined. Most importantly, no one was injured.

We are proud of and grateful to these crucial members of our society. Please remember to support your local fire department, as community support is the largest part of their funding. It may be the most important donation you give. We are truly blessed to have such a dedicated and professional group of people respond to our call.
