Letter: In good company

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I was astonished to read that the Gazette-Journal had been labeled a “fake news” publication (Mathews County supervisor G.C. Morrow, “Mathews supervisors to take ‘fresh approach’ to Islander project,” Sept. 27 issue). I always believed the G-J to be the best little newspaper east of the Mississippi, and now I see you have been put in a league with the New York Times and Washington Post.

Congratulations on your achievement and keep up the factual reporting! National politics is infected with the attitudes of “Don’t bother me with the facts, my mind is made up” and “Any news I disagree with is fake.” Sadly, this disease seems to have found its way to Mathews.
