Letter: Honoring the life of T.C. Walker

Thank you to the Cook Foundation and Main Street Preservation Trust for the beautiful mural being created on Main Street by muralist Michael Rosato to honor the life of Thomas Calhoun Walker.

Thank you, Bill Seidel, for your generosity in providing the side of your building as a one-of-a-kind canvas for the remarkable work of art being created there.

The dramatic and inspiring story of T.C. Walker’s life is told in the manuscript, “Lawyer Walker of Gloucester,” which is available online. The manuscript was the basis for the biography of Walker, “The Honey-pod Tree,” published in 1958. It is preserved in the archives of the Swem Library at the College of William and Mary. Any reader may access it for reading online and/or downloading.
