Letter: Hold our seniors close in your hearts

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Well, it is finally here … graduation for an extra special class that is so dear to me, the MHS Class of 2020. I remember kindergarten when I would come to visit and the kids would shout “Miss Mills, Miss Mills is here.” It wasn’t once but always! I never grew tired of the sweet hugs and enthusiastic greetings I received. I loved every moment of hot field days, drippy snow cones, high energy class plays, fun field trips, and the awesome parties. (They were the cutest group!)

I have met some of the most dedicated and loving teachers, nurses and staff as my girls (Jessie and Alex) journeyed from Tigers to Seahawks and finally to Blue Devils. My thanks to all of you. It has taken a village. I loved being a basketball, band, tennis, and ballet mom. I have always been proud to go with these students on adventurous bus rides and cheer most loudly from the sidelines and audience. (They are a high spirited group!)
