Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Like many in Mathews, I am deeply saddened by the loss of Mrs. Marion Trusch.

She lived a life helping, inspiring and bringing out the best in others. This world now has a huge hole without her light in it. Yet, heaven has gained one feisty angel. I am glad she shared some of her spunk with me, and showed me it was O.K. to be a female firecracker in Mathews County.

She loved it when I would bring her buttons for Democratic candidates seeking office. I have never seen some one light up as she did when I gave her the Hillary for President button.

Marion Trusch made the lives of those she met better just for knowing her, and we will all miss her deeply.
