Letter: Hats off to the grandparents

Last week, I got to see two sets of “grandparents” in action with the little ones they love and cherish. Actions do speak loudly, and I observed and participated a bit with these fine folks.

Emily and John Bohannon do their share of babysitting and signed up three of theirs for Art Camp at the Bay School in Mathews. They drove the children daily to Mathews for the two-hour camp, which seemed to be enjoyed by all. When talking with Emily about choosing to do this for the week, she said “we want the kids to have a fun summer and do things that stimulate them in creative ways.”

They did just that for the whole week, including events later in the day, from driving to a home site where they watched a cement foundation being poured, to beachcombing and putt-putt golf in Middlesex County.
