Editor, Gazette-Journal: I was at Kroger’s in Hayes on May 18 and in line to pay for my groceries. A lady in front of me dropped her purse. We both went to pick it up at the same time, but she lost her balance falling hard on the floor with the cart toppling on top of her. Needless to say, when something like this occurs, the distressed person needs immediate attention. However, it was the speed of the Kroger employees that needs citing. Within just a second or two, she was surrounded by four or five employees helping her to her feet and guiding her to a chair. An ambulance was quickly summoned. Hats off to you, Kroger’s. Nice going!
