Letter: GVFR personnel to the rescue

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

On the afternoon of Aug. 14, two of my three rescue Dalmatians got out of the fence without me knowing and decided to take a trip of exploration throughout the neighborhood. Now keep in mind that this occurred between 3:30 and 3:45. After a few minutes, I realized that Angie and Cisco had escaped from the fenced yard.

After searching the immediate area, these two were nowhere to be found. I ran through the woods into the Stonehenge neighborhood and was unable to locate Houdini and his assistant. I ran back home and got the car and drove into Stonehenge where I found them. Angie came to me right away and immediately jumped into the car. Cisco on the other hand bolted again back into the woods. I enlisted the help of some teenagers from the Stonehenge neighborhood and the pursuit was on.

With Angie secure, my girlfriend arrived home from work and she joined the chase. Eventually, I spotted the elusive Dalmatian. I stopped the car and began a foot pursuit, and ...
