In spite of my expectations regarding the expectations of big traffic problems with the two simultaneous bridge renovations and repairs at the Route 14 North End Bridge on Route 14, and at the Windsor Road intersection, there have been almost no problems with delays or wrecks!
What a great job VDOT has done to accomplish badly needed repairs with such a concern for avoidance of traffic problems. I frequently travel through both intersections and have never encountered a traffic delay. I give VDOT kudos for their good work, especially at the North End Bridge that has apparently worked well and has been only a minimum delay since it was begun. This all speaks well of good planning and execution by our VDOT folks who work hard to keep our travels safe and available, all with little public recognition. This is my thanks for their great public service.
