Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I am a volunteer at the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society in Gloucester. I just wanted folks to know what a wonderful resource we have here in Gloucester.

For so many furry friends, this will be the best home and experience in their life when they come to stay here. They are properly housed, nourished and given medical treatment when needed. Everyone I have come in contact with at the shelter is wearing a mask, practicing social distancing and constantly cleaning all surfaces. We really could use more volunteers.

The feeling you have when you head home after working at the shelter is so satisfying. The joy and smiles you have shared at the shelter from your interaction with these pets is priceless. Please help.
