In true GMHS fashion, supporters of the Gloucester-Mathews-Middlesex Animal Shelter came together on Saturday, Jan. 28, to kick off the 100-year anniversary of the incorporation of the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society at its Annual Auction Event.

Preparations for the auction took months of volunteer planning, and the events of that evening demonstrated just how graciously our community gives to benefit its homeless pets. It is a privilege to work alongside the many selfless individuals and shelter staffers who make up the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society. They are certainly the "best of the best" that the Middle Peninsula has to offer.
