Letter: Giving thanks for a great community

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I am 90 years old, and not as spry as I used to be. About a month ago, I had a bad fall and was unable to leave the house.

Being an avid reader, I needed books from the library. Susan Appel gathered up books she thought I would enjoy and my granddaughter, Bonnie Ashberry, picked them up.

When I go to the library, I am unable to carry all the books I have selected to the desk. Michelle Edwards usually gathers them up and checks me out. John Ayers, James Longworth or someone else carries my books to the car.

One day it started raining hard when I was in the library and Dolores Breen said, "Would you like to have me bring your car to the door?" She did and I was delighted.

What a great library!

I depend on Dr. Robert Cross to keep me alive. He is my internist, and so far he is doing a good job. Dr. David Muron is my orthopedic surgeon. He puts me back together when I fall and break a bone.
