Next week, readers will have an opportunity to make a very critical choice. The Democratic Party in this Commonwealth (and the Editor and Publisher of this paper) wants you to choose the Fiction Tree. Before you succumb to the Serpent, I respectfully suggest that you ask yourself several questions.

First, why is Senator Tim Kaine not supporting Candidate Warner? Have you seen any support ads? Have you seen Senator Kaine campaigning on his party-mate and fellow Senator’s behalf? Who is better positioned to judge the accomplishments of Candidate Warner than his professional colleague? Senator Kaine and I were law partners for a number of years (prior to his election as governor and senator). He was a resource in the firm most respected for his objectivity and ethics. When we had firm disputes, he was the partner who was asked to mediate. If Senator Kaine cannot bring himself to support Candidate Warner, why should you?
