Letter: Gillespie for U.S. Senate

Six years ago, Barack Hussein Obama repeatedly told his worshipping audiences that he intended to “fundamentally transform America.” I read his books and I had a pretty good idea what he meant. At that time, America was by any measure the greatest, most powerful, richest country in the world. Things have changed.

In six years, the countries who have been our closest friends and allies no longer trust our leadership, our president has proclaimed that America is not a Christian country and the Muslim religion is a religion of peace, millions of our citizens are out of work and welfare and food stamps have become an acceptable way of life for many. Our borders have become welcoming stations for illegal immigrants. Most lucky Americans who still have jobs experienced a significant reduction in purchasing power of their paychecks.
