When I consider the upcoming Gloucester Board of Supervisors election, I think most people would agree that one of the issues important to all of us is staying safe as we go about our day, and making sure we have the strong support needed for our law enforcement.

The person who comes to my mind to ensure we have that safety and support for our Sheriff’s Department is Ken Gibson. Ken has personally lived out what it means to “Back the Blue” as a former State and Federal Prosecutor. Ken also knows the meaning of sacrificing for others’ protection because he has served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

I have personally experienced Ken’s concern for safety in communities even outside our own. Some know that I am a member of law enforcement in a neighboring county.
