Editor, Gazette-Journal:

With the election coming up shortly, we have several choices for sheriff. As a Gloucester resident, I think the decision is obvious.

I want a sheriff who serves and enforces the law in his own community as a Virginia State Trooper and as sheriff.

I want a sheriff who knows the citizens through coaching, responding to local needs and upholding the law in his own town.

I want a sheriff who cares about Gloucester, because he is invested in Gloucester and who is in it for the people of Gloucester.

Why try and fix what isn’t broken? Sheriff Gentry has served his community well. Reelect Sheriff Gentry.
