Your paper is to be commended for the informative series “Spotlight on Hope,” an exceptional communiqué that increases awareness of the valued charitable efforts of our community organizations and citizens to help those in need. The Gazette-Journal’s partnership with the Gloucester Resource Council is an excellent example of how local media and nonprofits can work together to better our community. One of the past spotlights was on The Samaritan Group, Inc. (July 16, 2015 edition). The group provides financial assistance for families in temporary need in Gloucester and supports various community organizations that provide targeted services and programs.
