Letter: Fully fund Virginia education

This year, there is a new movement laboring to help fund Virginia’s education system. Modeled after the success the movement has enjoyed in states like West Virginia, Arizona, Oklahoma, and North Carolina, Virginia Educators United has brought the Red for Ed revolution to the Old Dominion.

Virginia Educators United (VEU) is a grassroots movement that is working with the VEA, educators, parents and community stakeholders to fix the disastrous situation in which our schools now find themselves.

When many think of Virginia’s taxpayer wealth, they typically do not realize that the Commonwealth is ranked among the top 10 wealthiest states in the country.
