Letter: Forrest for school board

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I, David W. Muffelman, M.D., and my wife, Pamela M. Muffelman, are writing in enthusiastic support for Lorraine Forrest, candidate running to retain her position on the Mathews County School Board. Over many years, indeed her whole lifetime in Mathews, she has shown her love of, and dedication to her home county and its people.

Lorraine Forrest has demonstrated a stellar record unmatched by any other candidate. As a respected member of the school board, years as a respected county election official, and as creator of an after-school tutoring program for children and students of our county, she is also a member of multiple civic community organizations. Other candidates’ “credentials” cannot match her years of active contribution to our county. We are deeply in her debt.

My wife and I are grateful to see Lorraine Forrest demonstrating strong commitment to educational excellence in Mathews. Mathews takes great pride in its school system, much respected ...
