This election season, the voters of Mathews have the opportunity to elect a person to the Mathews County school board whose only interest is in preparing our children for their future. Lorraine Forrest has earned widespread support across the county, primarily because she is known for her service to the people of Mathews for many years. Through the tutoring program she started at her church, her volunteer work with Meals on Wheels, her role as an election official, her membership in the Continentals, and her offering of a helping hand to any neighbor in need, she has proven her commitment to her community.

Now, Lorraine is ready to take on a new assignment as a member of the school board. As a proud alum of Mathews County Public Schools, she wants our schools to live up to our expectations that we produce young people who are ready to succeed at whatever career they choose.
