Letter: For Saulman

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Please cast your vote for Cindy Saulman to represent you as an at-large member of the school board. A 38-year sheriff’s officer and a 29-year D.A.R.E. officer teaching our children in all schools, her focus will be on the quality of our children’s education and on building cooperation and communication between, parents, teachers, and citizens. She seeks this office out of a desire to serve and will do so with dignity and decorum.

None of the above applies to Darren Post, current Ware District representative, who chose not to face the voters of this district. Space does not allow a list of his contrived disruptions, and his untruths and distortion of school issues. Research his record. Talk to your neighbors. Do remember his firearm carrying out-of-county associate(s) school board visit. Don’t fall for the “no basis in fact” generalizations funded by over $60,000-plus in advertising to date. Who spends money like this on a non-partisan position? And, he is going to spend more. Voters of Gloucester, Mr. Post’s agenda has nothing to do with the quality of your schools or our children’s education. It’s about him.

As a principal, attending meetings of the Gloucester County School Board for over 20 years, I never observed anything like the manufactured controversies created by Mr. Post. I can’t imagine the embarrassment former board members, Dr. Jean Pugh, Ann Burruss, or Arena Stone, who carried out their duties out of desire to serve the parents, students, and teachers of this county would say.

Restore a focus on educational quality. Vote for Cindy Saulman.
