I want to take this opportunity to endorse Anita Parker for the Gloucester County School Board. Before Mrs. Parker was on the school board, she and I often had talks about her three sons and my two kids and their experiences in Gloucester schools.

I became a Career and Technology (CTE/shop classes) teacher in Gloucester for 20 years. During those years Anita, as a school board member, was frequently in my class for a random observation. She would talk with students, ask about what they were working on, and the purpose of their projects and lessons. As a school board member she listened to me brag about my students and my concerns as a teacher. When issues came before the school board she often asked me my opinion on those issues to get a teacher’s opinion, and I was only one of dozens of teachers in all schools she would ask for information.
