Editor, Gazette-Journal:

If I didn’t already live in Gloucester, I would want to know the people who live here. JJ Orth is one of those people I know. He has been my friend for many years. I volunteered with him at Abingdon Rescue Squad. I taught with his wife in the Gloucester Public Schools.

He has always been eager. Eager to laugh. Eager to listen. Eager to lead and share his scientific knowledge of how to keep our waters healthy. And he is eager to move our county forward. His eagerness is refreshing and much needed in leadership.

I am happy to endorse JJ Orth as the supervisor of the Abingdon District.
