Letter: For Meyer, Bazzani, Kelly

The Concerned Citizens of Gloucester held a forum Monday evening at the Lighthouse Worship Center. At this event, citizens put questions to the candidates for the board of supervisors and the school board.

My father always told me, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” That is how I feel about our present board of supervisors. These good citizens have worked very hard to restore financial responsibility and accountability to both the school budget and the general county budget.

They have kept our taxes low and also brought in new businesses which increased our tax base. Indeed, John Meyer and Phil Bazzani have applied modern finance and accounting principles, including zero-based budgeting, which has made Gloucester Great Again; they thus deserve to be reelected in order to continue their work.
