Editor, Gazette-Journal:

We have a choice of candidates for Petsworth supervisor. I have decided to vote for Mike Jenkins. Mike has served our community in a number of ways. I have served with him on the Ware Episcopal Church Vestry, to which he has been elected three times. There, he was a voice of positive common sense and he worked cooperatively to get things done.

He also has served 12 years representing us on the Gloucester County School Board. He likewise serves on the Gloucester County Education Foundation, the Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission Comprehensive Economic Development Strategic Plan Committee, and the Chesapeake Bay Regional Partnership.

In his public service, I have always found Mike ready to listen, and explain his opinions with objective, clear logic. He has demonstrated his ability to deal with large public budgets in a fiscally responsible manner.

We need honest people like Mike Jenkins representing us in local government. I urge you to vote...
