For those of us who are surrounded by children, we all want what is best for them. We want them to be happy, healthy, well fed and clothed, have lots of friends and to have a successful future no matter what they choose to do.

For us to secure that successful future for them, we initially need to see that they receive an excellent education. Mathews County already has many talented and enthusiastic teachers in our school system. The Mathews County School Board is here to help put the feet of these children on the road to success. The future of Mathews County depends on how the Mathews County School Board prepares today’s students to be productive and successful citizens for tomorrow.
