I am writing this letter in support of Lorraine Forrest. Lorraine is a lifelong member of this community. She is a 1973 graduate of Mathews High School, and now a grandparent of a Mathews Elementary School student.
Lorraine wants to see that all of our students get the best education possible and would like to be on the school board to assist in that effort. As a member of the Continental Society, a national organization that has contributed to local students and assisted in other community efforts; as a volunteer at Hands Across Mathews and a founder of her church’s “Young Scholastic Achievers” after-school tutoring program, it is evident that Lorraine puts her energy where her heart is, right here in Mathews.
Please give her the chance to put her skills and energy to work on the Mathews County School Board.
