I am extremely pleased to support Lorraine Forrest for the position of school board member for Mathews County. As I think about the responsibilities for this position, it appears to me that she has already met the qualifications she needs to continue serving as a member on the Mathews County School Board.

Serving on the board for the past two years has given her a wide range of knowledge and understanding about the school board as well as the daily operation of the schools in our district. She clearly understands that a school board position is non-partisan and school meetings should not be used to promote political views. Having said that, and to the best of my knowledge, her only agenda is to do what is best for all children in Mathews County.
