Letter: For Dale

In your Thursday, May 27 edition, you published two letters in support of Cathy Dale for the Republican nomination for Clerk of the Circuit Court. Both letters provided excellent perspectives on the two candidates and prompted me to do a bit of my own research to understand the differences between the duties of the Circuit Court Clerk and the General District Court Clerk, and therefore the qualifications of the two candidates.

Cathy Dale currently serves as the Clerk of Gloucester’s Circuit Court, and her opponent currently serves as the Clerk of Middlesex-Mathews General District Court. As I discovered, the difference in the two courts is remarkable and, hence, why I support Cathy Dale who has 13 years more experience in both Gloucester’s Circuit Court Clerk’s Office and as a citizen of Gloucester contributing to our community.
