Remember that letter first published in 1898, "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus?" Well, no matter what you believe about Santa, trust me, he isn’t Terry McAuliffe. Yes, I know, Mr. McAuliffe has promised us the moon at every turn, but how on earth does he plan to pay for it? Not without a tremendous rise in state taxes and, with unemployment at current levels, even that’s not going to do it. We can’t spend like the federal government without sooner or later paying the piper. It will catch up with us eventually.

Ken Cuccinelli’s economic plan is made up of simple common sense ideas like reducing the business tax rates to make Virginia more competitive. That would create jobs. He calls for reducing the personal income tax rate on Virginia’s citizens to put more money back in our pockets so that we can contribute to the economy. That would be you and me going shopping.
