Letter: For Crowley

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

While I love me some Chesapeake Bay, I don’t live in the 98th House District. But I know how important elections outside my district are to the progress and prosperity of all Virginians. Many have already made the strong case for how Sheila Crowley, the consummate professional, will serve her constituents superbly as a well-informed and conscientious delegate.

But getting little play in political races these days is knowledge of what kind of person a candidate is in their private life. Well, I not only know of Sheila’s professional achievements, but I have also known her well for over three decades as a mother and wife to my dear friend. Sheila and I both had daughters who grew up together, which offered me a unique opportunity to witness up close how faithfully she practiced what she preached.

This is the kind of pre-election information missing on so many candidates, allowing us to sometimes get hoodwinked. But you voters in the 98th have at yo...
