Letter: For Crowley

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

The fact that Sheila Crowley has spent her entire working life advocating for the poor and disadvantaged and helping to enable people to climb out of poverty, misery and despair should be reason enough to vote for her.

However, there are myriad other reasons, among which are:

Each citizen’s right to quality health care; a woman’s right to choose; clean water and air are essential for survival; passage and enforcement of sensible gun laws (Pat Paulsen said when he was running for president decades ago that he would give everyone a gun but throw away all the bullets); fair redistricting; a living wage with which to raise a family with pride; a first-class education for our youth; a clean and healthy Chesapeake Bay, and voting rights without restrictions.
